addition to that on the non-complaint, the other fundamental work and very challenging along the path of awakening and personal growth is the non-judgment. I want to talk about it from an account of my fifteen-year student who, in a simple but effective, drew a nice parallel between opinion and freedom. "We will never - told me - to feel truly free to be, to speak and do, because society with its conventions and judgments blocks us, there preventing it." It 's clever observation, although still limited. It 's true, as we often do not act, or do not say things we would like to say for fear of being judged. It always comes to mind the classic moment when, after a conference, the moderator opened the debate and nobody has the courage to ask questions. Take the microphone means, for most people, exposure to the proceedings of a terrible crowd and risk a bad impression. But this is just a small example, where it can add another hundred: in dress, demeanor, expressing their views, in making certain choices ... how many of us can say they truly feel free? Maybe so on impulse, the wave of pride and personal, many respond that they do not, do not conditioned, they do and they always say what they want, but just stop and think to realize that it is not. We would go to the supermarket in slippers? Or out to dinner with his shirt stained? We would say to a person who proudly shows us her bag signed a ridiculous nonsense that seems to have spent so much money on crap like this? :) Not likely. Much more likely to criticize the two hours after talking to someone else.
Then there are two issues at stake: on the one hand we do not feel free to be ourselves because we fear the opinions of others, never misses an opportunity to criticize the other and give our verdict on the behavior of others (Italy and San Marino's national sport after football and the complaint). Freedom and legal proceedings. Related how?
It 'easy to say: ... if we feel it is judged as we judge. Judge others and judge ourselves. For the usual law of the mirror we can "see" only if the proceedings in the other instance is that we have first. The dog chasing its tail, our "lack of freedom" is self-created.
As you exit, then the trap? The teaching is simple ... stop judging and you do not feel judged, since all that takes place inside of you is made out. If your world uprooted from view, just the feeling of being judged from the outside no more. The inevitable consequence is that you are free . Of course, quitting is difficult to judge how to stop to complain ... but there are two doors leading towards self-consciousness and freedom. (Groped of) the daily practice non-judgment and free heals. Do not you believe it, but just try ..., x realizing it.
